Aurora Expedition – 7 days

Day 1:
Arrival in Dawson City – Welcome to the Far North

Individual arrival in Dawson City. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be personally greeted and transferred to your hotel. After checking into your room, we will meet for an initial briefing on the upcoming days.
You will receive an overview of the exact itinerary, planned photography locations, and essential tips for Northern Lights photography, as well as guidance on handling your equipment in Arctic conditions.

Day 2:
The Adventure Begins – Journey to Eagle Plains

Today, we embark on our journey north along the legendary Dempster Highway. The winter wilderness of the Yukon unfolds before us—vast snowfields, rugged mountains, and frozen rivers create a breathtaking landscape.
Along the way, we will make several photography stops to capture the magic of the scenery. By late afternoon, we arrive in Eagle Plains, a remote outpost/Hotel in the heart of the tundra, where we establish our base for the coming nights.
After dinner, and if conditions permit, we will have our first Northern Lights photography session.

Day 3:
At the Arctic Circle – Northern Lights Photography Under Perfect Conditions

After breakfast, we set off for the Arctic Circle. The views of the vast, snow-covered landscape are simply stunning—endless horizons, white-capped mountains, and the open sky above. For drone enthusiasts, this location offers spectacular aerial perspectives.
In the evening, our focus is entirely on the Northern Lights: We capture the mesmerizing colors of the Aurora Borealis in a setting free of light pollution and complete isolation.

Day 4:
Intensive Aurora Session & Winter Photography

Today is all about winter landscapes and photography. Whether capturing the silent vastness of the tundra, the crisp Arctic air, or the untouched beauty of the North, the opportunities are endless.
At night, we embark on another Northern Lights hunt, refining our techniques and learning how to create breathtaking images in the darkness. Patience often pays off—with spectacular shots that preserve the magic of the Northern sky.

Day 5:
Image Editing Workshop & Final Northern Lights Night

Today is dedicated to achieving the perfect shot: In an intensive post-processing workshop, we will enhance our Northern Lights and landscape images to bring out their full potential.
In the evening, we enjoy our last night under the Arctic sky. One final time, we venture out to capture the Aurora Borealis in all its glory—an unforgettable experience in absolute silence and darkness.

Day 6:
Return to Dawson City – Winter Landscapes in Focus

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Dawson City. The route takes us once more through the majestic Ogilvie Mountains and the Tombstone Territorial Park, showcasing the winter wonderland at its finest—ideal conditions for more breathtaking landscape photography.
Back in Dawson City, we gather for a farewell dinner, reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared.

Day 7:
Departure

Our journey comes to an end today. After breakfast, individual departures from Dawson City begin—taking home unforgettable memories and stunning images of the dancing Northern Lights.
